Okay, so I am obseessed with Julie Harrison's blog called "Little Woolie." I am actually doing her mixed stitch stripey blankey crochet-a-long (CAL), and it's going great because the texture of the wool and the colors she uses are the best I have ever seen. It just doesn't get better than that! She has a store where you can buy her yarn, which is linked on her blog home page. However, I know it is early to be talking about Christmas, but while I am working on the blanket now for a Christmas present because it will take me so long to make, I was on her blog and came across these great Christmas stars that are so great, again because of the colors she uses! They remind me of the colors I see during Christmas back home in Germany:) You can pretty much just use your imagination for them, using them for ornaments or ceiling decorations or gifts, etc. I actually think some of the colors she uses for them are used in the blanket, so if you decided to do the blanket, then you already have some of the colors for the stars! She also mentions using scraps of wool and any extra wool you have lying around since they aren't so big like a blanket. So really, your options are unlimited. Again, just be creative and keep an open mind! I will answer any questions you have on these projects or really on any projects you have! Feel free to also share anything with me that you find interesting! Here are pictures of both the blanket and the Christmas stars!
Again, I cannot get over the colors she uses; aren't they just fabulous? They are so inviting and there's almost not even a word for how great they go together and they look so nice!
Happy Crocheting(: xoxo-Hanna
